Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym…

Killer abs can give you great confidence and look awesome but they can also help you in terms of your overall workout. The thing with people who are looking for epic abs however, is that they are not just made in the gym, this plays a part for sure but it is the kitchen where you need to be focussing your efforts. The food you eat has a great impact on how your tummy an your abs look and if you want killer abs, here are the foods which you should be eating to get them.

Almonds

Incorporating almonds into your daily diet is going to really help you get that flat stomach that you have been looking for. The reason why these tasty nuts are so good for your abs is that they are rich in magnesium, a mineral which your body needs to build and maintain muscle tissue. Almonds are also a great source of fiber and protein and because they can help to maintain your blood sugar levels, they can help to suppress hunger. You should be eating about an ounce of almonds each day to get the effect.

Soy

Packed with antioxidants, proteins and fiber, soy beans are a great addition to your daily diet if you are looking to get the abs that you ahem always dreamed of. As if this wasn’t enough, soy is excellent for burning fat, especially from the tummy area which could help you get rid of that last bit of belly fat before the abs show through. Aim for around 25 grams of soy each day.

Eggs

Eggs are pretty much the kings of protein and there are not many sources out there that can give you as much as they do. On top of the protein which eggs are packed with, they also contain balanced amino acids which help the boys to manufacture muscle fibers and and fat burning chemicals. All you need is one egg per day to feel the benefits of them and anyone looking for a washboard stomach must incorporate these into their daily diet.

Leafy Greens

Leafy greens like kale and spinach are an amazing source of muscle building vitamins and nutrients which can help your workout make a bigger impact. These vegetables are extremely low in calories and they have high levels of calcium which helps with muscle contraction, something which you are going to need if you want to get a flat and firm stomach.

Now you are never going to get the abs that you are looking for solely by eating these foods and you will need to exercise as well. With this being said, boost your diet with these and you will see results in a very short space of time.
